Road Widening Project of the DPWH(Department of Public Works and Highways) had been causing traffic in few areas in Barangay Agusan. Due to the additional lane there are some houses nearby were affected by the project too. This is the Butuan-Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Road Widening Project.
Some business establishments were advised to move a little bit to give way to the widening, DPWH cut down big trees and some of the obstacles that may affect their project.
A week before the Barangay Officials was roving around the whole barangay and have the announcement.
The Agusan Barangay Officials advised the home owners to move back and if possible transfer to another safe place for the place they claim is a government property.
This project is merely working 24/7, the manpower is still working at night time and it seemed to be disturbing for nearby houses. The noise of the heavy equipment is annoying but anyway we considered it.
After few days, cement is on its way and indeed in this area the road is now fix,though there is still a road sign in the highway.
This project had been approved by the Commission on Audit and it's not only in Barangay Agusan but in the whole city of Cagayan de Oro City.
